Brett Isaacs, a civilian security guard, is a little awkward, but so is Ridley. When opportunity strikes, it’s up to Ridley to start something new.

FREE Army Green PDF mini-stories!

I've written ten mini-stories for the Army Green boys and it's starting to get a little unwieldy over here on my journal, so my solution? Make a PDF. Have fun with photoshop while doing it.

This PDF is a free download prepared by me featuring mini-stories written from reader prompts provided during Torquere Press Livejournal hosting days over the last year or so.

The Army Green series is a contemporary romance series set in Kentucky at Glenhaven Farms, where Neil and Ms. Susan have raised, boarded, and shown horses for decades. The focus of the series is their adult grandson, Evan, and all the strays they've taken in over the years. The series started off with Taction, then grew with Army Green and Army Green: Burning Bright.

I've arranged the mini-stories in chronological order, and have included purchase information and excerpts from the three main stories so readers will know if there are spoilers in the mini-stories ahead. I've also provided character summaries for the main characters at the front.

So please, check out the download over here, and let me know whether or not you like it. Does it play nice with your e-reader? Does the formatting work for you? I'd like to make these as stream-lined and accessible as possible :)

Then he meets Nashan Windham, the grandson of his late father’s scandalous old friend, and Brad’s downward spiral is derailed, at least for the moment.

I reviewed "Walking to the Stars" by Laney Cairo

So my most recent in-house review for Torquere was for:

"Walking to the Stars" by Laney Cairo

In the third Australis Liminus novel, the war is over and Samuel is on a secret mission in Australia for the rising World Government's space program. He knows he is under-prepared, and expects hardships, challenges and kangaroos. He wishes someone had told him just how large the kangaroos are, and how scary. And about the magic.

Nick's farm is cold and bleak in the wild winter, but Samuel is grateful for the shelter, and for the chance to be close to Nick. It's there he meets Nick's friend, Talgerit, who is a budding magician with a taste for adventure, no boundaries and far too much enthusiasm. Beyond the farm is a wasteland, ruined by the war, where small outposts of people live surrounded by echoes of the past. Secrets live in the city, too, and bigger challenges face the three of them than forests and ghosts.

All Samuel, Nick and Talgerit have to do is go to the city, find what Samuel's looking for, and get home again.

The future is a long way to walk, even with someone you love.

Also in this series: Running the Nullarbor and Monsters Past.

Nice: Concordant released!

Nice: Concordant by J. Rocci
by J. Rocci
26 pages / 5500 words

Officer Joshua Dabbs has been working long hours due to budget cuts and the holiday crazies, so he’s not thrilled when his patrol partner lets slip that Josh’s husband, lawyer Garrison Williams, has planned a weekend trip for two to New York City right before Christmas.

Josh hates traveling, especially around the holidays, so Garrison shows how persuasive a lawyer can be with tactics not fit for the inside of a court room. Once they’re actually at the hotel in New York, Josh relaxes after Garrison agrees to stay in for the night. Garrison has a plan, though, that results in Josh getting to open a very intimate Christmas present early.

Review for TC Blue's Life Changes Everything

So I wrote an in-house review for TC Blue's Life Changes Everything.

Ben might be young and only recently out, but he knows what he wants, and the hot blond on the dance floor definitely fits the bill. The last thing he expects is to discover that he's not only met Aaron before, but that he likes the guy as well. That's something he's never encountered before.

Aaron's no player, but when the universe throws a tall, built slab of gorgeous beefcake in his path, Aaron knows better than to question his luck. Ben unexpectedly turns out to be smart, funny, and a really good fit, which is definitely a bonus. Ben might be young, but he's mature enough to keep Aaron interested, and happy.

They both have pasts and regrets, but everyone does. They're determined to work through their issues, though, and just when they’ve started to move on together, life happens, throwing complications in their path. Can their fledgling relationship survive when everything changes?

Life Changes Everything features characters from the popular novel, Life or Something Scary Like That.

Come check it out!
